Branch Competition.

Deadline: Sunday, 16th March.

  • Branches are responsible for managing this stage of the competition.
  • Branches must notify the Kent County POTY Coordinator of their branch winner and when the winner’s presentation date will be. These will be published on:
  • Branches are responsible for ordering their certificate(s).
  • There is no embargo on announcing the results of your branch competition or presentation date.
  • A brief extension to the deadline of one or two days may be allowed, in extenuating circumstances. This must be discussed and agreed in advance.

West Kent & East Kent Area Competitions.

Start: Monday, 17th March.
Deadline: Sunday 18th May.

We are judging the East Kent POTY and the West Kent POTY competitions. The candidates for these two competitions are the winners of the branch competitions and are listed below. The winner will go through to the County stage of the competition.

Branch Winners

  • East Kent Area:
    • AFRM: George, Bethersden.
    • CANT: Haywain, Bramling.
    • DDS: Hoptimist, Dover.
    • Swale: Paper Mill, Sittingbourne.
    • Thanet: Royston, Broadstairs.
  • West Kent Area
    • GDV: Cotton Mill, Swanley.
    • MMK: Cellars Alehouse, Maidstone.
    • Medway: Prince of Ales, Rainham.
    • West Kent: Nelson Arms, Tonbridge.

Rules.

  • East Kent area includes: AFRM; Canterbury; DDS; Swale; Thanet.
  • West Kent area includes: GDV; MMK; Medway; West Kent.
  • East Kent members can judge West Kent pubs.
  • West Kent members can judge East Kent pubs.
  • A judge must visit ALL pubs in the area they are scoring.
  • The deadline for judges to return completed forms is Sunday, 18th May.
  • A brief extension to the deadline of one or two days may be allowed, in extenuating circumstances. This must be discussed and agreed in advance.

Kent County Competition.

Start: Wednesday, 21st May.
Deadline: Sunday, 15th June.

We are judging the County stage of the Kent CAMRA POTY competition. The candidates are the winners of the area competitions and are listed below. The winner will go through to the South East Regional stage of the competition.

Area Winners

  • East Kent Area:
    • Royston, Broadstairs (Thanet).
  • West Kent Area:
    • Nelson Arms, Tonbridge (West Kent).

Rules.

  • Judges must visit BOTH pubs for their scores to be valid.
  • Judging is **NOT** open to members of the West Kent and Thanet branches.
  • Judging forms and guidelines can be found on the Kent website.
  • The deadline is Sunday, 15th June.
  • In exceptional circumstances a brief extension to the deadline may be allowed, however this must be discussed and agreed in advance.
