Micropubs in West Kent
Micropubs are a concept and low cost pub business model championed by CAMRA 2015 Campaigner of the Year, Martyn Hillier of the Butchers Arms, Herne and promoted by the Micropub members through the Micropub and Microbrewery Association. While the Association has a definition of the Micropub there appears to be some flexibility; some having bars, differing beer dispense; some with hand pumps, some gravity and an interesting wide range in size, design and layout of premises.
Their emphasis on Real Ale and conversation has made them popular with CAMRA members, particularly in Kent with Micropubs now spread across the County.
